Weapons Wednesday: “The Sling Bow”

This weapon has just been made legal for hunting small game, deer and turkey in Virginia. The great Bill Cochran from the otherwise stupid Roanoke Times had a good article on sling bows the other day, which led me to contact the vendor he mentioned.

Yes, I might just get one. I have an old, bold, PSE re-curve compound bow from the 90s on long-term loan, courtesy of Brother Rat MHF89. It has taken one deer but I think its numbered days have fairly well run out. Or at least it requires more work and attention than I can give it, and I sure don’t have the money for a new one, not even a modest entry-model. Ditto a crossbow, which would be my first choice.

Dave Canterbury was talking about sling bows nearly a decade ago, by the way.

Anybody have one?
