    It’s for officers who ride their units hard and put them away wet. Very prestigious — practically a requirement for Below The Zone selectees.

    I have a novel idea, let’s eliminate all the badges except for Airborne, Pilots, EOD, EIB, EMB, CIB, EIB. No ranger, no sapper, no special forces. You only get Airborne as a permeant award if you don’t get 25 jumps within five years of earning your basic jump wings.

    It’s for the Old Guard folks who provide the caissons for funerals. Can’t find an image for it–assume it shows the front end of the horse rather than the rear.

      That’s funny because I talked to the Old Guard Caisson…and they said the same thing, They would like to know what it is also!
