That’s a big hog.

The biggest of the three pigs I’ve shot was roughly a quarter of that.

There’s a young man who knows how to handle himself. GOOD.

I wonder if Virginia’s Fish & Wildlife will run a DNA check on the hog? A few years an enterprising moron imported hogs from Siberia, and set them loose to breed with local feral pigs. The offspring are larger, smarter and nastier than the run of the mill walking BBQ.

The thing I’m not doing is grabbing my rifle if he’s that close, I’m grabbing my shotgun and loading up Remington Sabot Slugs. Looks like a .308, no way he charged him head on unless it was a headshot. That sucker ain’t stopping.

here is an article from Mother Jones on AR-15s and feral hogs. I’ve used this in class occasionally as an example of a form of argument: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/01/how-assault-weapons-ban-could-affect-your-bacon
