Firearms Friday: A Look Into the Palmetto State Arms AK

Here’s a really good look at the innards (and outards) of the Palmetto State Armory AK, courtesy of a guy who seems to know his business.

My opinions on the AK are, I believe, well documented– I love it. As the video above shows, and my own experience confirms, the gun not only possesses its legendary reliability, but can achieve consistent accuracy as well. The inherent issues with the AK platform, from the Western shooter’s point of view, are the weird ergonomics and the truly awful iron sights, but both can be overcome with some clever mods and of course with good training.

Lots of companies are making AKs and good AK mods, and if you’re a serious rifleman you should have one in your armory.
