Gun-Day Sunday: Elite Shooting Sports (Manassas VA)

I hit Elite Shooting Sports a couple days ago with Wang (MDL was scheduled to come but got boarhogged by an intractable problem at work at the last minute). Tango Seven-Six has been there and given it multiple erect thumbs. I will second his opinion. It’s clean, spacious, well-staffed, brisk and efficient; the check-in and orientation process is neither perfunctory nor excessive. The range fees are on par with the local competition.

We did not get to use the 100-yard range, but I’m going to make that a point soon. Like maybe this coming friday.

The time is now to exercise as many training opportunities as you can. Outfits like John Murphy’s FPF Training* should be regular stops for you, but places like ESS offer easily accessible all-weather sustainment venues. Make use of them, soon and often. We– you, I– have an inherent right to keep and bear arms, one nearly unique in the world. We must exercise it as often as we can, for the test may be in the offing.

* BTW, MDL and I will be taking the new format / one-day Minuteman Rifle Course on 10 April. Care to join us?
