We Assume, Of Course, That They’ve Been Properly Vetted

And have every legitimate reason to be there.

Strictly for cultural enrichment.

Or not.

Note that this BOLO was not released to the public. It was only leaked to the press by someone in the WMATA police department. So much for „If You See Something, Say Something.“ Because we can’t have people thinking we’re awful waacists or anything. Perish the thought!

Let’s hope it doesn’t one day become, „If You See Something, SLAY Something.“ For their sake, that is. Otherwise, that would be simply unspeakable.

I take it we learned nothing from the Reddit circle jerk following the Boston bombings. There is in fact a reason why the police do not release BOLOs to the general public without a specific threat.

Oh…wait…I missed the fact they were walking around wearing beards.

Reddit’s actions had very real results which should have embarrassed some major news agencies but did not. They also led to the unjustified harassment of an individual who had nothing to do with the situation.

We’re the good guys. This is beneath us.

If so, it is not because there are not Constitutional and effective ways to vet them.

I had never seen the Gateway Pundit website before. Thanks, i suppose. There I saw the article about „dozens“ of aviation workers on the DHS terrorist watch list. I am proud to say that I spent about seven years on that list, all because there is an obscure IRA terrorist with the same name as mine. Now I appear to be off it because I no longer have to be questioned by an airline employee or TSA person before boarding flights. While I admit to being a yellow-dog Democrat, I, like almost all retired Army lieutenant colonels, am only a threat to the Republic when I use my TRICARE benefits. I bet the vast, vast majority of people the Gateway Pundit mentions are similarly on the list for no good reason.

Gee, an IRA terrorist named „Mike Burke.“ Who would have thought?

Of course, one of the most famous of „The Boys“ in the last years of „The Struggle,“ was one Angelo Fusco (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Fusco ). And of course, you can’t forget the great folk hero of Glasgow in the Second World War, that legendary Scotsman, „Gentleman Johnny“ Romensky.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Ramensky)

And of course, there is my dear departed mother, an Irish lady, whose family name started out as „Alvarez.“ But, the Burkes started out as Norman French, so it all balances out in the end,

All of which has a bearing on the larger discussion.

Of course there are also IRA gunmen named „Angelo Fusco“ and a famous Scots criminal/war hero named „‚Gentleman Johnny‘ Ramensky MM.“
